One Body, Under God

Today's reading makes me think of New Testament sections of Scripture like Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12 about how God's people are to unite with their unique God-given gifts to make up the body of Christ, the Church. We see, for example, the gift of leadership given to Moses and the creative abilities given to Oholiab and Bezalel. We also see the "grace of giving" (2 Corinthians 8:7) instilled in the hearts of the people of Israel which prompted them to give so generously that they had to be asked to stop! When God's people unite together under Christ to serve God with all their hearts, great things happen.
