- In Hebrews 10:22, "having our bodies washed with pure water" is a reference to baptism.
- In Hebrews 12:25-28 it says, "at that time his voice shook the earth." This is a reference to Mt. Sinai. Then it says, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens." This is a reference to Judgment Day. At this point only God's kingdom will not be shaken, will remain.
- Hebrews 13:10 says, "We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat." The altar is a reference to the cross, and "those who minister at the tabernacle" is a reference to those who cling to the old rituals of Judaism rather than God's grace.
