Three easy steps to participate:

1. Purchase The Daily Bible. The best price is online, but it is also available at local Christian bookstores. I recommend hardcover.

2. Read the daily reading.

3. Optional: Return to this site to discuss the readings (consider bookmarking this site so you can easily find it each day).

Tower of Babel

Just a couple interesting highlights from today's reading about the tower of Babel as well as the genealogies of Shem, Ham, and Japeth:
  1. When God sees that men are plotting to disobey his command to fill the whole earth he says "Come, let US go down..." The "us" is another proof of the Trinity just like in the creation account (Genesis 1:26).
  2. Under the family line of Shem (Ge 10:21-31) you have Peleg, a son of Eber. It says "in his time the earth was divided." This is probably referring to this event where languages were confused and everyone had to scatter their own way.

  1. The Tower of Babel was always interesting to me. It's seemingly the beginning of different languages and races.
