- Isaiah 24:6 says, "Therefore earth's inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left." The "few" is a reference to those with faith in God.
- Isaiah 26:18 says, "We were with child, we writhed in pain, but we gave birth to wind. We have not brought salvation to the earth; we have not given birth to people of the world." This is a reference to human beings not being able to save anyone; only God can do so.
- "Leviathan" in Isaiah 27:1 is a reference to to those who oppose God.
- Isaiah 32:3-4 says, "Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen. The mind of the rash will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear." This is a reference to the Holy Spirit helping people to understand God's Word.
