Song of Ascents

Psalm 120 starts a section of 14 psalms with the header "Song of Ascents." These psalms were most likely used as families went "up" (higher elevation) to the temple in Jerusalem for annual festivals. The psalms may also have been part of the temple liturgy. I personally enjoy them because they are short but packed full of praise.
