Join the Daily Bible Challenge!
Three easy steps to participate:
1. Purchase The Daily Bible. The best price is online, but it is also available at local Christian bookstores. I recommend hardcover.
2. Read the daily reading.
3. Optional: Return to this site to discuss the readings (consider bookmarking this site so you can easily find it each day).

Another Reason to Not Fear Rebuke
The other day I posted about how lovingly rebuking someone who is in error shows true compassion instead of pretending everything is okay. There are several advantages to this including spiritual discussion and growth. In addition, the Proverbs tell us that a wise person accepts words of rebuke. Today in Proverbs 28:23 we are told of another advantage: "He who rebukes a man will in the end gain more favor than he who has a flattering tongue." In other words, the person will ultimately understand that you were being the true friend to him or her and will appreciate it.
