I found something interesting in the 1,2 Kings People Bible today regarding the daughter of Pharaoh given to Solomon as a gift (and as a political move):
"God's writer leads us to believe that this woman, like Ruth, left behind not only her family but also her gods at the time of her marriage. In 11:1 the pharaoh's daughter is deliberately separated from the heathen women whom Solomon married later. It is possible that the Queen of Sheba, whom we will meet in chapter 10, was a half sister of Solomon's wife. It is also possible that when he wrote the Song of Songs, King Solomon used his love for the Egyptian princess as a model to portray God's love for his church."
